Sheikh Fahimul Anam

Sheikh Fahim has graduated with MA (In Teaching and Learning) and a Bachelors degree (BA Hons) in Business Studies and Marketing from London.  He also completed a Diploma in Arabic and a Bachelors degree (BA) in Usul-Ad-Din and Usul-al Fiqh in Arabic medium from the European Institute of Islamic Sciences in France. While studying Shariah he also completed an intensive Tajwid course on Ibn al-Jazari, a classical Tajwid text, and studied Tajwid extensively under a number of Tajwid scholars. In particular, Sheikh Said Bouhdifi who obtained Ijazah for 10 recitations (Qira’at) from Sheikh Ayman Suaid and from Sheikh Abdul Munim As-Shalati, Also studied under Shaikh Farid (who obtained Ijazah in 10 Qira'at from Shaikh Ayman), Shaikh Mabruk and Shaikh Hassan, both also obtained Ijazah from Shaikh Ayman. 

Sheikh Fahim had been teaching, Aqidah, Fiqh, Usul-al Fiqh, Family Life, Tajwid, Arabic and other Islamic Sciences in the UK in various courses, in particular, taught in Nafar Courses (Understanding Islam), Knowledgeseekers courses (Islamic Sciences), Tartil courses (Beautifying recitation), Itqan courses (Perfecting recitation) since last 7 years. He also teaches at the Beacon Institute, of which, he is one of the founding directors. 

He is currently working for Muslim Mediation Service as a Case Worker and a Lead Mediator and also works for HM Prison Service as an Imam and leads Juma’h prayer at Grendon and Springhill Prisons. He also delivers talks on various Islamic issues at university campuses, Mosques and Islamic Centres. He is married with 3 children.

Sheikha Selina Begum Ali

Sheikha Selina has graduated with a Bachelors degree (BEd) in Primary Education, CELTA and PTLLS from London. She also completed a Diploma in Arabic Language and a Bachelors degree (BA) in Usul-Ad-Din and Usul-al Fiqh in Arabic medium from the European Institute of Islamic Sciences in France. While studying Shariah she also completed an intensive Tajwid course on Ibn al-Jazari, a classical Tajwid text, and studied Tajwid extensively under a number of male and female Tajwid scholars. In particular, Sheikh Said Bouhdifi who obtained Ijazah for 10 recitations (Qira’at) from Sheikh Ayman Suaid and from Sheikh Abdul Munim As-Shalati. Also studied under Shaikh Farid, and Shaikha Reihab (both obtained Ijazah in 10 Qira'at from Shaikh Ayman), also studied under Shaikh Mabruk and Shaikha Muna and Kawsar, both obtained Ijazah from Shaikh Ayman

Sheikha Selina had been teaching Tajwid, Aqidah, Fiqh and other Islamic Sciences in the UK in various courses, in particular, taught in Tartil courses (Beautifying recitation), Itqan courses (Perfecting recitation), Nafar Courses (Understanding Islam) and in Knowledgeseekers courses (Islamic Sciences) since last 7 years. She is currently teaching Arabic for Life Long Learning Programme and Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Programme for London Borough of Tower Hamlets.  She also delivers talks on education and on other various Islamic issues at University Campuses, Mosques and Islamic Centres. She is married with 3 children.

Ustadh Rafiq Hussein

Ustadh Rafiq graduated with a BSc degree from London and currently working in the public sector as a civil servant.  Ustadh Rafiq had studied Tajweed at a beginner level at various Institutes in London.  He further progressed at an advance level at the Beacon Institute under Sheikh Fahimul Anam.

Currently, he teaches Tajweed at the Beacon Institute and at Oak Education, and also continuing with further studies in the field of Tajweed.  He is married with two children.

Ustadha Rugena Ali

Ustadha Rugena Graduated with a BA Hons in politics at Goldsmiths University. Currently, she is working Full time as a Project Coordinator at the University of Arts London, and the Youth Coordinator for Muslimaat UK.

Ustadha Rugena had been studying Tajweed and Islamic Studies since early age under many teachers and in many Institutes.  In particular, she had been studying Tajweed under Sheikha Selina for many years.  She continues to study Tajweed and now she also teaches Tajweed at the Beacon Institute and Oak Education.

Ustadha Nazma Begum

Ustadha Nazma had studied Tajweed at a Beginner level under various teachers.  In particular, she had been studying Tajweed under Sheikha Selina for many years. She is an active Da’iah and a Community Worker, as well as, running an after school club teaching children in her local area.

Ustadha Nazma recently completed a teaching course on Teaching Community Languages with National Open College Network.  She continues to study Tajweed and now she also teaches Tajweed at the Beacon Institute and Oak Education.  She is married with three children.
